We know affordable space is a major obstacle in Iowa City, but developing it is expensive because of wasteful codes and conventions.

We renovated our basement with help from volunteers and salvaged materials. We saved money, saved resource from the landfill, and built solidarity – and now we have a beautiful space we can all share.
